New application features

• Mobile applications - generate mobile-compatible applications with support for all 31 page styles. New features to aid mobile development include 4 new page types, new controls, menus, headers and footers and a mobile page live preview
• Full text database search - add Google-like search capabilities to Microsoft SQL Server text or binary fields. Fields can contain Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, plain text, HTML, or other documents.

Enhanced charting abilities

• Drill down charts - double-click chart elements to see underlying data
• Time range charts - scroll back and forth in time or select a specific time period to analyse.

Usability improvements

• Excel 2007 and 2010 support - export your data to Microsoft Excel 2007/2010
• Lost password retrieval - retrieve lost or forgotten passwords via email from your application's sign in page.

Iron Speed Designer features

• Implement audit trails and multi-tenant applications - use the Batch Meister Wizard to apply formulas globally to the business layer to implement audit trail, initialization and validation logic throughout your application. Apply WHERE clauses globally to implement multi-tenant applications or filter records based on logged in user.
• New rich text editor options - choose from additional editors - CKEditor, the modern version of FCKEditor, increases accessibility and functionality. Cute Editor, the top ASP.NET Editor, adds spelling and image upload functionality while Ajax HTML editor is very compact and convenient.

Framework and IDE support

• Microsoft SQL Azure Database Support - now works with the cloud-based Microsoft SQL Azure database
• Microsoft SQL Server CE Support - now works with Microsoft SQL Server Compact Edition.

Reports, Charts and Dashboards

• Charting - drag automatically configured charts and graphs from the toolbox onto your page or report (Enterprise only)
• Summarise KPIs - drag sum, count, average, min and max calculations from the toolbox to provide summary data (Enterprise only)
• Advanced filtering - filter table panels using fields from other tables and views. Iron Speed Designer automatically creates the underlying multi-table join SQL query (Enterprise only).

Improved Data Access Layer

• Audit trail - quickly create custom audit trails in the Data Access Layer using the formula mechanism
• Formulas in the Data Access Layer - formulas give you a high degree of customisation over what is displayed - you can set field values when initialising, displaying or saving fields, as well as other events
• Data Sources tab - see and customise all your SQL queries and other data sources in one place.

Usability Improvements

• Improved Application Wizard - The Pages step in the Application Wizard now provides more granular page type selection. You can now select different page types for each individual table and view
• Simplified user interface - redundant buttons and tabs have been removed. The Code tabs have been consolidated into a single tab, and the Documentation tab is now more visible.
