Task Builder

The new Task Builder supports a customisable Available Actions list, multiple document support, find and replace, stack viewer and improved action search with filtering for quickly finding a desired action.

Multi-Machine Execution

Unlike competing systems which allow users to assign a whole workflow or job to run on a remote agent, BPA Server takes the approach a step further, allowing each distinct task or condition to run on different agents within the same workflow.

Conditions

Conditions can be used to 'trigger' (start) a workflow or task, as well as at any point inside a workflow to perform an evaluation or wait for a condition before proceeding.

File Manipulation

File actions enable automation of file and folder commands such as copy, move, rename, delete, etc. These actions also allow data to be read from and written to files.

Web Services

Harness the power of cloud computing through the Web Service action. Use it to listen for and send web service SOAP requests.

POP3, SMTP, & Exchange

Easily and intelligently retrieve and/or remove e-mail messages from a POP3 mail box, send SMTP mail, and work with Exchange.

Licensing

Licensing Model

Network Automation products are licensed on a per machine basis. Each machine used for management, development, or execution of an automated business processes using AutoMate 7 will require a license. Below is a brief description of each licensed product part of the AutoMate 7 product line:

• AutoMate 7 Professional - The base version of AutoMate 7 designed to automate most desktop processes.
• AutoMate 7 Premium - The Premium Edition has all of the functionality of the Professional Edition along with SNMP support, Terminal Emulation support, and Runtime support (see Editions section for more information).
• AutoMate 7 Runtime - Each license enables the use of a runtime for execution of tasks built in the Premium Edition on one machine. Tasks reside locally on the runtime machine.

The purchase of AutoMate 7 includes 1 license for task development and execution. Runtime licenses for the Premium Edition are sold separately. Volume Discounts are available for all multi-machine license purchases.

Editions

AutoMate 7 is available in 2 editions - Professional and Premium. The Premium edition offers all the features found in the Professional Edition along with the following:

SNMP Support

SNMP is the internet standard protocol developed to manage nodes (servers, workstations, routers, switches, and hubs etc.) on an IP network. AutoMate has ability to launch a task when an SNMP trap is received, as well as issue SNMP messages.

Native Terminal Emulation Support

AutoMate 7 Premium Edition allows direct automation of your legacy systems over SSH, Telnet or COM port by supporting terminal emulation standards such as TTY, VT100, VT220, VT320, TN3270, TN5250, and ANSI natively - eliminating the need for screen-scraping techniques.

Runtime Support

This allows for tasks to be developed within the Premium Edition, and then deployed to runtime licenses (sold separately) for remote execution. This offers an extremely cost effective means of automating multiple machines with the power of AutoMate.
