Capture

• Record everything you see on your screen at up to a full 30 frames per second and capture video from an iSight or a DV camera
• Narrate your captures or capture the sound coming from your speakers as you're recording
• SmartFocus technology monitors the location of the text cursor and mouse pointer and automatically crops the captured video to keep clear focus on the action

Edit

• Add images, title slides or music - media files can be easily imported into your capture
• Organise media on the timeline through simple drag-and-drop and easily crop and move clips
• Easily overlay video tracks on the timeline to create picture-in-picture effects and cross fades
• Remove and relocate clips without affecting other clips on the timeline and separate audio from video so it's easy to remove mistaken clicks and sounds
• Edit anything you see on the canvas directly or using the properties panel - rotate, crop and move any video clips, shapes or text.
• Transition from different clips - fade, slide, zoom and more
• Add filters such as drop shadow, glow, reflection or colour change onto any video clip, image, shape or text
• Add action effects to any point in the video - apply fades, flips, spins or zoom
• Audio effects - adjust the volume and fading in and out of audio during the video
• Add text and shapes to label and draw attention to specific actions happening on screen - such objects are easy to edit using action and filter effects
• Keyframing - create your own video actions, keyframing lets you alter clip properties such as size and transparency over time

Whilst Camtasia for Mac has the same basic functionality of Camtasia Studio, they are two very separate products with separate focuses.
