Delphi XE2 is available in 5 separate editions:

Delphi Starter

Delphi Starter Edition is a low-cost entry-level edition of Delphi. It produces native Windows 32-bit executables, includes hundreds of components, a VCL form designer, full featured debugger and more.

The Starter Editions may be used by individuals until any revenue from sold applications or components exceeds $1,000 USD or by companies with five or fewer employees whose total annual revenue does not exceed $1,000 USD.

Delphi Professional

Delphi Professional is a low cost solution to create native Windows executables and touch screen applications. Delphi Professional supports:

• Native compiler for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows executables
• Native compiler for Mac OS X
• Advanced IDE features including refactoring, unit testing, remote debugging
• Local database support for Interbase and MySQL
• FireMonkey rich application platform for Windows 32-bit/64-bit, Mac OS X and iOS
• VCL source code to modify and customise the included VCL components
• Bundled tools for reporting, logging, source control, web, installs
• Earlier version access to licenses for Delphi 7 and 2007-XE.

Delphi Enterprise

Delphi Enterprise supports multiple databases and has support for building multi-tier applications. Delphi Enterprise includes everything in the Professional edition, plus:

• Database server support for Interbase, Firebird, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, Informix and Sybase
• DataSnap middleware for building application and data services
• Cloud computing capabilities with support for Amazon and Microsoft Windows Azure.

Delphi Ultimate

Delphi Ultimate includes all the functionality of Delphi Enterprise and adds:

Delphi Architect

The most advanced edition of Delphi, Delphi Architect is designed for creating data-intensive applications for large databases. Delphi Architect includes everything in the Professional and Enterprise editions, plus:

• ER/Studio 8.0 Developer Edition – helps to reverse engineer, understand and thus optimise databases. Generate database code from models designed in ER/Studio and create models from information extracted from databases and script files.

• Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit), Microsoft Windows Vista SP2 (32-bit and 64-bit & requires admin rights), Microsoft Windows XP Home or Professional (32-bit and 64-bit) SP2 or SP3, Microsoft Windows Server 2003 SP1 or 2008 (32-bit and 64-bit)
• Intel Pentium or compatible, 1.6 GHz minimum (2GHz+ recommended)
• 1 GB RAM (2 GB+ recommended)
• 3 - 7 GB free hard disk space depending on edition and configuration
• Basic GPU – any vendor DirectX 9.0 class or better (Pixel Shader Level 2)
• 1024x768 or higher-resolution monitor
• DVD-ROM drive (if installing from a Media Kit DVD)
• Mouse or other pointing device.

Requirements for developing 64-bit Windows applications

• PC running a 64-bit version of Windows or a 32-bit development PC connected with a PC running a 64-bit version of Windows.

Requirements for developing OS X applications

• PC running Windows connected with an Intel-based Mac running OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) or OS X 10.7 (Lion) over a local area network using a SSH, VNC or Windows file sharing solution.

Requirements for developing iOS applications
