Features

Chart for SharePoint

Create over 30 different chart types (including financial charts) from SharePoint Lists or BCS data in minutes. Apply a theme, select a data source, set options and get charts that blend into any site design. Popular features include data aggregation, mixed chart types, multiple series axes and zoom.

  • Chart data from SharePoint lists or external lists - Open the On-Board Designer, point to a data source, select your data, configure the view and you are finished. Convenient property lists let you set data types, default grouping, column sizes and more.
  • Easily create charts - The On-Board Designer opens right on the Web Part surface and allows you to change anything (even the data source). You can even choose to allow end-users to create and edit charts to perfect their own views.
  • Works in SharePoint Foundation - Like all ComponentOne Web Parts, Chart for SharePoint works with SharePoint Foundation.
  • Supports aggregates and summaries - Perform calculations such as average, sum and count on your data to show useful summary charts.
  • 30+ chart types - You will find many variations of standard charts such as line, bar, pie and column and you will also find advanced charts such as financials, radar and gantts.

DataGrid for SharePoint

Display and interact with data held in the BCS or SharePoint lists. Scroll, group and sort data, create hierarchical views without page refreshes and edit, update and delete data.

  • Display data from a range of sources - Open the On-Board Designer, point to a data source, select your data, configure the view and you are finished. Convenient property lists let you set data types, default grouping, column sizes, and more.
  • Print reports - Set up data views and easily right click and print the grid for a great ad-hoc reporting tool.
  • Edit and update data - Give your users the ability to edit data, regardless of where it comes from. Adding, removing and editing records is easy and fluid. There are no post-backs or lengthy page refreshes.
  • View, sort, group and filter without refreshing - The ComponentOne DataGrid for SharePoint performs sorting, filtering and grouping functions instantly without reloading the page.
  • Create master-detail views - Use the On-Board Designer to select parent and child tables and related columns, then quickly drill down into the details for any data row.
  • Freeze columns and rows - You can set default frozen rows and columns in the On-Board Designer or allow end-users to define their own.

Maps for SharePoint

Plot geographical data held in a SharePoint list or BCS data on an interactive Microsoft Bing Map. Take advantage of smart pins, point-and-click data selection, automatic geocoding to turn addresses into coordinates and pop-ups - all without writing a line of code!

  • Instant, no-code mapping - Open the On-Board Designer, point to a data source, select your data, configure the view and that's it. Your data will be geocoded and plotted on a Microsoft Bing map - completely codelessly!
  • Use smart pins - The ComponentOne Maps for SharePoint will automatically pinpoint each location on the map with an indicator of your choice (pushpin, flag, ball, star, or custom image).
  • Automatic geocoding - As long as you have a location identifier (e.g., address, postal code, state, point of interest), you can plot your data. Maps for SharePoint will connect to Bing's geocoding service to determine the map coordinates.
  • Display rich data - Each smart pin is related to an annotation that can display virtually anything you want. Show drill-down data, images, URLs, and street map insets to name a few. Even create tool tips dynamically.

OLAP for SharePoint

A pivoting grid, summary chart and report in a single web part. Simply connect OLAP for SharePoint to a tabular data source, and end users create the pivot views they want, on demand, using the drag-and-drop interface.

  • Code-free, cube-free data analysis - To get started with OLAP for SharePoint, just insert the Web Part on your page, open the On-Board Designer, and navigate to your data source.
  • Dynamic views - Create data views by dragging fields into the row, column and value lists. This will give you a summary of your data. You can also summarise your data by modifying the filters.
  • Totals and aggregations - Choose from many different aggregations for the totals (Value field). Choose from Sum, Count, Average, Maximum, Minimum, First, Last, Variance, Standard Deviation, and Variance Population.
  • Pivot charts - OLAP for SharePoint automatically creates a chart from the view you create. It supports five different chart types (Bar, Column, Area, Line and Scatter).
  • Printing - Print the grid and chart together in a single report. Users can customise scaling, page margins, headers and footers, and insert time stamps, page counts and a title for the report.

CoverFlow for SharePoint

Point CoverFlow to a SharePoint picture library and it will automatically display all the images in a convenient iTunes-style carousel. It's a great way to put an image collection at your end-users' fingertips.

ImageViewer for SharePoint

Point the ImageViewer for SharePoint Web Part to a picture and display it with a magnifying glass. Works great for hi-res or detailed pictures that would otherwise take too much space.

Benefits

  • Easy to install - one installation wizard installs to any number of servers and the Web Parts will automatically be added to the SharePoint Web Part Gallery.
  • Point and click simplicity - each Web Part includes the unique On-Board Designer. These designers are simple dialogs that open in the Web Part zone and allow you to configure everything about the part.
  • User customisation - enable users to access the On-Board Designer and configure the parts themselves.
  • Supports any SharePoint data source - connect to any SharePoint list (or list view) or external list by navigating to it through the On-Board Designer. Even connect to lists on other sites.
  • Developer customisation - the Web Parts in Studio for SharePoint are easy to customise using the included free SDK.
  • Connect parts together - All of the ComponentOne Web Parts share the same common infrastructure, e.g. use a grid to show high-level data and connect it to a chart to show details for the selected rows.
