Licensing
The information provided here also applies to the open license, except that the open license includes the full source-code. No source-code is provided with the developer license.
A developer license is defined as the license required to develop an application in which an Amyuni product is integrated.
A run-time license is defined as the license required to deploy the application in which an Amyuni product is integrated.
- One developer license is required per software developer.
- One run-time license is required per application.
- Developers’ applications can be for in-house use or external distribution.
- Web servers or PDF servers require one runtime license per server.
- The run-time license enables developers to distribute a special version of the product with their application without paying any royalties. A 'special version' is a subset of the driver that has all the functionality of the full driver excluding any user interface. This special version will only work with the developer’s application. Developers can name the PDF printer as they wish (e.g. MyPDFGenerator) and make the printer visible only while their application is active.
- The developer’s application must not have as a sole function the conversion of documents to PDF, or as a sole function the processing of PDF files. The conversion or processing function must simply be an option in the application.
