Altova SchemaAgent 2010 is the visionary tool for analysing and managing XML Schemas, XML instance documents, XSLT files, and WSDL file relationships, as well as viewing files used in Altova MapForce data mapping projects. SchemaAgent automatically finds relevant files in your search path and displays them in its explorer pane for easy navigation. The graphical design pane displays the files as a pool of resources, allowing you to construct complex documents from elements of existing files distributed about your network. This promotes the design of componentised files on which your group can standardise and facilitates reuse of files to reduce development times. Simply drag a file from the explorer onto the design pane, and a right-click menu lets you view all referenced, referencing, related, and linked XML Schema, XML instance, XSLT, WSDL and/or MapForce files as graphical components. Associations between files are indicated by color coded lines linking the graphical components. You can create or change import, include, and redefine (IIR) references by dragging-and-dropping connecting lines between components, and changes are propagated to all related files. XML Schemas are displayed in the design pane as graphical components with details about IIR relationships and a list of all global elements, attributes, types, etc. Components representing XML instances include a list of associated XML Schemas, XSLT files, and included namespaces. XSLT components display import and include relationships to other XSLT files and associated XML Schemas. WSDL components provide a list of imported WSDL files, imported schemas, inline schemas and definitions (port types, bindings, etc.) present in the WSDL. MapForce components list any XML Schema, XML instance, and WSDL files used as a data mapping source or target. SchemaAgent can be run stand-alone or in client/server mode to share resources in a workgroup. Control your XML assets with ease.

Licensing

Installed User Licence

Install and use the Altova software of any PC up to the number of licenses purchased. For example, if you purchase a 5 User Installed License, you may install and run the Software on 5 machines and all 5 users can use the software at any given point in time.

Named User Licence

Per each Named User Licence, one individual may install and use the Altova software on up to 5 computers, provided they are the sole user of the software and are not using more than one copy at any one time.

Concurrent User Licence

Install the Altova software on any number of PC's up to 10 times the number of licenses purchased, provided that only the permitted numbers of users use the software at the same time.

For example, if you purchase a 5 User Concurrent License, you may install the Software on up to 50 machines (Permitted Number of Users 5 multiplied by 10 = 50). Although the Software maybe installed on up to 50 machines, only 5 users may use the software at any given point in time

Subscriptions

Purchase of the Altova Support and Maintenance Package (SMP) provides you with a range of benefits including free updates and technical support.

SMP provides:

  • Free access to new releases and maintenance updates during your active subscription period (specific to the product (s) you own).
  • Priority technical support via a web-based support form. Typical response times are 1-2 business days within Europe.
  • Mechanism to report bugs and software faults directly to Altova.

SMP is available as either a yearly purchase, or a 2 year purchase and must be purchased at the same time, or within 30 days, of purchasing an Altova product. SMP can be renewed but must be done so before your existing subscription expires (up to 90 days in advance). It is strongly recommended that you purchase SMP with your product.
