Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 includes a wide range of new features and improvements from usability studies as well as feedback from the field. Please note, not all new features are applicable to all editions.

Disaster Recovery and Data Protection in one unified solution

• Catalog and search capabilities give you granular access to specific data within a backup, so you get the benefits of bare-metal restore and backup in one product
• The unified platform dovetails seamlessly with Acronis’ granular application recovery modules such as for Microsoft Exchange Server and Microsoft SQL Server
• Integrated tape management improves support for tape and tape autoloaders, allowing you to store, replicate or stage backups to tape – either image, file or application.

Improved core-disaster recovery

• Acronis Universal Restore for Linux extends the award-winning Acronis Universal Restore technology to Linux systems, allowing you to recover to dissimilar hardware

Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 Advanced Server supports a wide array of storage devices and location including local disk, Network Attached Storage (NAS), Storage Area Network (SAN), FTP and optical devices, as well as the unique Acronis Secure Zone. You can also use tapes or tape libraries for long-term or offsite storage; and the Acronis Online Storage provides that extra level of redundancy at a price you can afford.

Multi-destination backup

Automatically replicate your backups to an off-site location to ensure you don’t lose your critical data if a disaster affects your entire site.

Automatic retention and deduplication

Free up space for new backups by automatically deleting oldest backups or moving them to another cheaper storage. Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 Deduplication option additionally trims storage requirements and network traffic by ensuring that only unique data is being backed up.
